With very heavy hearts, but also with deep appreciation and gratitude for the long and wonderful life we were so fortunate to have with our beloved Mother/Grand-Mother (Mémère)/Great-Grand-Mother, we announce the passing of Lorraine (Belcourt) Press, née Thanasse. Predeceased by her husbands Raymond Belcourt (1979) and Gordon Press (2002) and parents Philippe Thanasse and Alma Moreau. Loving mother to Donna Hawkes (Christopher), Glenn Belcourt (Barb), Pierre Belcourt (Lise), Monique Chapman (Tom), Claudette Reimer (Wayne - deceased), Janet Belcourt (John), Lena Zwicker (Norm), Jo-Anne Bifolchi (Vince) and stepsons Gordon (Lynne) and Keith (April) Press. Also greatly loved by her grand-children: Chantelle, Nicole, Monique, Grant, Janna, Michelle, Colette, Marc-André, Réjean, Mireille, Janique, André, Jay, Alex, Scott, Karlie, Laura, Jake, Kara, Joelle, Trevor, Nadia, Lucas and all her great-grand-children including Gordon and Keith’s children and grand-children. Predeceased by siblings Jean-Paul, René and stepsister Patricia Robbins. Lovingly remembered by many other family members.

Lorraine brought joy to everyone around her through her caring, loving personality and through her love of cards and beautiful piano playing. Of all her accomplishments, she was most proud of her family. She took much pleasure in watching her children and grand-children participate in sporting and other activities being their biggest cheer leader. Also recognized for her delicious bread and pies which were always much appreciated.
